Musician Max Murray has performed with a diverse range of ensembles including the Staatskapelle Berlin, Ensemble Kollektiv Berlin, the SWR Experimental Studio, Vancouver New Music, and the Academy Orchestra of the Berlin Philharmonic - appearing in festivals including Märzmusik (Berlin), Borealis (Bergen), and Musica Nova (Helsinki). He has been invited for a residency as an interpreter in the music composition department of Stanford University, and was a member of the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra where he had the opportunity to observe the conducting courses of Pierre Boulez, Peter Eötvös, and Heinz Holliger. His compositions have been performed internationally by ensembles and soloists Noa Frenkel (Tel-Aviv), and Distractfold Ensemble (Manchester), among others.
