Come get creative, collaborative, and collage-y with Dudley Literary for Zine Making Night! A zine is a do-it-yourself magazine. Bring excerpts of your poetry, short stories, haiku, song lyrics, and anything else you can think of to create your own zine. We'll provide magazines, scrap paper, and art supplies to decorate your homemade magazine!
Join us for our final Senior Common Room DInner of the 2018-2019 academic year. This month's SCR dinner will feature a talk and discussion with Professor Eric Mazur. Professor Mazur is Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics and Area Chair of Applied Physics at Harvard University, Member of the Faculty of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and former President of the Optical Society.

The Harvard Square Churches Meal Program operates a community supper each Thursday evening at Christ Church Cambridge. Their mission is to provide a nutritious meal in a hospitable environment to anyone who needs a meal.
We will convene as a group outside of Dudley House and walk 2 minutes to Christ Church, where we will receive an overview of the Meal Program before helping serve dinner from 5-7pm.

In this workshop, we will think about drawing from a new perspective: by focusing on the empty or negative space around and between objects. We will do three exercises using construction paper and charcoal in order to think about space and the ways it brings us into our imaginations. All materials will be provided by Dudley House, and the workshop will run two hours, including free time to draw....
What makes an artist --- or anyone, for that matter --- choose one color over another?
To investigate this idea, in the Color Workshop we will think about taste and sound as inspiration for color choices. Using high-quality watercolor materials, we will try to free ourselves of the usual assumptions and labels that attach to the use of color, and approach color as an all-encompassing experience.
