Apple Picking

Indulge in a traditional New England past-time: picking your own apples and pumpkins! We will head to Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow, MA, departing from Harvard at 10:15am. Honey Pot Hill not only has a farmstand with fall favorites, but it also boasts two Hedge Mazes to test your wits, including the 1.5 mile “Green Monster Maze”! Cost: Tickets are $15 and are available on the 3rd floor of Dudley House. Dudley members may buy an extra ticket to bring a guest (please bring your Harvard ID). White Mountain Retreat @ Moosilauke Lodge

Join our annual retreat to the White Mountains for fall foliage and scenic hiking trails that range from challenging to leisurely in beautiful New Hampshire. We will be staying at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge on Saturday and Sunday night. Food will be included. We will leave Harvard Saturday morning and return Monday afternoon. Hiking options will include Mt. Moosilauke and Franconia Ridge Loop. Cost: Ticket cost and sale date to be announced! Dudley members may buy an extra ticket to bring a guest (please bring your Harvard ID).

Whale Watching

Thousands of tourists flock to Boston each fall to see these majestic animals. See what the fuss is about yourself on a Whale Watch outing on September 13 at 10:00am! We will leave from Dudley House at 9:15am. Cost: Ticket cost to be announced, plus T fare. Tickets are on sale for $27 (cash or check only) on August 27 at Dudley Fest and in the Dudley House office after that date. Dudley members may buy an extra ticket to bring a guest (please bring your Harvard ID).

Harbor Islands

Boston is not just an urban landscape! Take the ferry from Boston Harbor to the Harbor Islands for a refreshing escape to the oceanside. Visit the historic Fort Warren on Georges island; explore the walking trails and beach on Spectacle Island; hop to other smaller islands and catch a breath of ocean air. Meet at Dudley House at 9:00 am; return time open. Cost: $15 for the ferry +$3 between Georges Island and Spectacle (pay at the wharf), plus T fare. (Select the 10 am ferry to Georges Island when booking; choose to return from Spectacle at 2 or 4pm so you can see both islands).

Battle of Lexington and Concord Outing

8:30am to 5:00pm

Take a walk through American revolutionary history on Saturday, April 18 by joining us on a hike along Battle Road Trail linking the historic towns of Lexington and Concord! This is a 8 mile trail that follows the path of the British Regulars and Militia during the opening battle of the American Revolution on April 19th, 1775. The trail links Lexington to Concord and wanders through treed settings, wetlands and historic vistas of open fields and pastureland.
